Marsaxlokk is the fishing village on Malta's south-east coast whose Delimara headland holds Fort Delimara, the Colosseum tunnels in Gladiator II.
Marsaxlokk is known for its colourful luzzu boats and Sunday fish market. South of the village the Delimara peninsula runs out to sea, with the 19th-century Fort Delimara at its tip. The fort is closed to the public, but the peninsula's coast road and swimming spots are open.
