About Mġarr Harbour
Almost everyone arrives in Gozo at Mġarr. Gozo Channel car ferries from Ċirkewwa and passenger fast ferries from Valletta dock beside a working harbour of colourful fishing boats and a yacht marina. Above the quays are the neo-Gothic Lourdes chapel on its cliff and the spire of Għajnsielem's parish church, with Fort Chambray on the ridge to the west. The Madame Blanc Mysteries uses the harbour as the berth for Jeremy and Judith's boat, so you may recognise the marina pontoons and waterfront. In The Good Ship Murder's Gozo episode, shots of Mġarr set the scene, though most of that episode's action was filmed on mainland Malta. Waterfront restaurants make it a good place to wait for a ferry.
Best time to go
