Coronation Street filming locations in Malta

In summer 2007, ITV's Coronation Street sent Steve McDonald and Eileen Grimshaw on holiday to Gozo, filming over three episodes at Ramla Bay, the Citadel in Victoria, the Ta' Ċenċ Hotel in Sannat and the Azure Window.

Where was Coronation Street filmed in Malta?

The 2007 storyline sends best friends Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) to Gozo. Steve hasn't booked a room, so the pair end up sharing a double at the Ta' Ċenċ Hotel. The episodes were shot on location around the island: the opening row on the steps of the Citadel's cathedral, scenes around Victoria, paddling at Ramla Bay and a final toast at the Azure Window. The episodes got their own title sequence showing Gozo churches, and local resident Robin Askwith played the holiday rep.
