Where was The Count of Monte Cristo (2024 series) filmed in Malta?
This eight-part European co-production filmed from August to December 2023 in France, Italy and Malta. Jeremy Irons said the castle used in Malta was the same age as the one Dumas describes. Entertainment coverage says the Château d'If prison scenes used Mdina and Manoel Island (Fort Manoel). Gozo guides also mention the cave below Santa Marija Tower on Comino as the prison's sea entrance. Not to be confused with the 2002 film, which also used Comino.
