About Church of Our Lady of Liesse
Our Lady of Liesse is a small Baroque church with a distinctive dome, standing on Liesse Hill just below Victoria Gate and right above the Grand Harbour waterfront. It is a local landmark for anyone arriving on the Three Cities ferry, as its dome rises directly above the quay. In Jurassic World Dominion, Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and his old colleague Barry keep watch from the roof of the church before the raid on the illegal dinosaur market, with the harbour and the Three Cities spread out behind them. The rooftop itself is not open to the public, but the church can be seen from the waterfront below, from the gate and from the ferry. It is a short downhill walk from St Ursula Street and makes a good combined stop with Victoria Gate and the old Customs House.
