St Paul's Bay, with Buġibba and Qawra, is Malta's biggest seaside resort. Its Primera Hotel played the 'Olympic Hotel' in Cyprus in Spielberg's Munich (2005).
St Paul's Bay is named for the apostle's shipwreck in AD 60. Today Buġibba and Qawra are packed with hotels, bars and a long seafront promenade, and that 1970s-to-80s hotel architecture is exactly why Spielberg came here for his 1970s Cyprus scenes.
